Proxart Magazine is finally here

I was very fortunate to meet an incredible group of talented people right in Santa Clarita who are single handedly showing that Santa Clarita has a lot of art and artist right here right now and have produced a magazine to prove it.  I urge you to down load a FREE copy of this magazine and I think you will be taken at the stories of everyday artist like yourselves who are expressing themselves in their own voices.

I was also blessed to be asked to do the cover for this first edition which you can see here and was even featured in the magazine.  Plus they used an Twitter illustration I did for them as the full page last page as well.  Needless to say they featured me a lot which still sort blows my mind & also makes me very thankful.

Illustration Friday - EXPIRED

"I’m sorry Tony but I checked my account on Relationships.com and it turns out my feelings for you expired last week."  My take on the word "Expired" for Illustration Friday.  I did this in Manga Studio and tried to keep the energy in the line.

Illustration Friday - SUBTERRANEAN

This was a piece I created with acrylic, marker & ink for a recent show but I thought it also fit this week's IF subject.  The colors were enhanced slightly in PS, but overall this is how the original looks.

My brother asked me to create an illustration for his sons HS basketball crab cook off fund raiser. He took this (he is an architect) and incorporated it into the poster. I created this in Manga Studio

Illustration Friday - PERSPECTIVE

This was an experiment from start to finish.  the shape and squares were laid out on the computer than I created stencils from that and painted them one color at a time.  Then scanned it back into the computer and manipulated it in the PS.

Alice in Wonderland show at The Hive opens this Saturday

The piece from my last post will be in the Alice in Wonderland show at  The Hive in downtown LA that opens this Saturday.  Here is the post card for the show.  They get a very good crowd with live music and a bar.  very festive art show which I'm really happy to be a part of.
