Santa Clarita Art Festival this Sat. & Sun

I will be doing a chalk mural all day Friday and Saturday for this year's Santa Clarita Art Festival. This is only my 2nd chalk mural and first time doing it all by myself. I have a few techniques I'm going to try. Hopefully my back and knees hold up.

Welcome to the party! I had to do a new illo to make up for the last so, so illo I did on this subject. This was drawn in pen (Micron) on paper, scanned, cleaned up slightly in PS, pulled into Illustrator, turned into a Vector, colored and then tweaked the overall colors in PS.

Not thrilled with the way this came out, but only have myself to blame. I ran out of time and rushed through some of the parts and I think it shows. But I still like the general idea/joke.

Can ants really lift many many times their body weight, well if this illo is true it appears they can. the final illo that was actually done completely in the computer using Manga Studio EX, Painter X & PS.

Also here are some idea sketches that I did in pen and threw on a bit of water color to see what might come about. One sketch was suppose to be Pippy Long Stocking and the other was suppose to be some one struggling to open a jar lid.
