Illustration Friday "BLANKET"

Tried my hand at another poem/illo combo. Hope you like it

BLANKET

Fuzzy wuzzy blanket,
To snuggly to hold,
Every time I hold you close,
I just can’t let you go.

I sleep with you all night long,
Cuddled close to me,
Oh, fuzzy little blanket,
I’ll never set you free.

Through my arms I’ll wrap you,
Weaved round my legs so tight,
Nothing need come between us,
Nothing, not worth a fight.

I shall travel everywhere with you,
Pulled taunt around my clothes,
And when people stare at us,
We’ll laugh together, because we know.

That you and I were made for each other,
That we’re stitched from the same thread,
Who knew that I could fall for something,
Pulled straight from atop my bed.

I want to sew myself inside you,
And forget the world outside,
Like a fuzzy wuzzy straight jacket,
So cozy and warm inside.

So if you see me all wrapped up,
Walking down your block,
Don’t poke, push or tease me,
And worst of all, don’t mock.

I’m just a boy, who fell in love,
And I’m not ashamed to say,
That if you felt my fuzzy blankie,
You would take my place this day.
