"Hey You Guys" charity art auction/event Dec 5th

I had the honor of being asked to contribute a piece to this great cause that supports education, kids and teachers called HEY YOU GUYS taking place in Pasadena on December 5th. A lot of amazing artist created work for this so it should be chalk full of super art work. see below for more info:

"Hey You Guys Charity" is a small group of artists, friends and family who want to make a change by keeping art education in schools.

As young men who benefited greatly from early art education, "Hey You Guys Charity" is a group of professionals united in their love of the applied arts and the desire to give back to their community. With recent credits from Cartoon Network, Lucasfilm, MTV, DreamWorks Animation, and Nickelodeon, they’ve taken their passion from their early days as Cal State Fullerton art students and brought it with them into the professional world.

We are once again raising money for Donors Choose, a program that helps teachers keep the arts alive in schools. Donors Choose purchases the art supplies that kids need to keep their imaginations alive.

Last year was a complete success. With only internet and word-of-mouth advertising, we were able to raise over $2,000 dollars, helping over 300 students and teachers!

The classic comedy GHOSTBUSTERS will be shown at the theater. There will also be a silent art auction featuring original artwork from known gallery artists, concessions, and a raffle!

The movie is FREE, with voluntary donations taken at the door!

Doors open at 6pm, film starts around 7pm!

This is open to everyone, so all are welcome!

Please invite everyone you know!

CTN - doddles

Just finished an awesome 3 days at the CTN-X in Burbank. SO happy I got a table and was able to be a part of a very special convention geared completely to the people that work in animation. I meet some incredible people from every level in this field and actually found a few new fans of my art. Thanks to you all of them. For the people who bought my stuff to the people who simply came by to say how much they liked it. I can not thank you enough.

Hope to post more on this experience later.

Re: the doodles, I made these at the CTN-X this weekend. I needed something to do in the moments when no one was coming up to my table. Made on business 'buck slips' with Prisma color markers first & then ink pens & brushes next and found my way as I went. I Was actually able to sell all 4 of these to some very nice people at the show.

Yellow Submarine ink & marker project

I created this all non-digital with ink pens & brushes and Prismacolor Markers. It's for a charity art auction in December called "Hey You Guys." The theme was to pick a movie that inspired you growing up.

When I was little "Yellow Submarine" used to come on TV every year around the 4th of July and I would look forward to watching it. Seeing it now it's amazing how inventive all the creatures were and wacked out the story was. This movie has a lot of very slow moments but it is so visually stimulating and was a lot of fun to draw and color.
